Welcome to the Madison Dolphins

The Madison Dolphins Swim Team (MST) is a 30+ year old organization operating as a summer recreation league team under District II of the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA). Our practices and home meets are conducted at the Dublin Park facility located at 8324 Madison Pike, Madison, AL 35758-1121.

Our organization was formed to provide and improve competitive amateur swimming in the Madison, Alabama community.

The Madison Dolphins Swim Team encourages and promotes sportsmanship and strives to build healthy minds and bodies for the members of the team.

If it is your first season with us, we encourage you to read our First Time Swimmer's Guide to the Pool.

Madison Dolphins History

The Madison Dolphins has a history that spans nearly 4 decades, though little to no records have been kept up until the last 15 years. Our team was founded sometime in the late 70s by the ARPA association in conjuction with the Recreation facility that was located on Hughs road (now demolished). At the time the team was called the "Madison Triggerfish" and only had around 30 members including the dive team. Today we average 200 swimmers each summer and hold the title of Undefeated in a Dual Meet since 1984.

"Madison Dolphins History" is a new project to the team. This project's goal is to gather facts, stories and photos from the early days of the Dolphins. Many swimmers neglect to realize that the Dolphins have a history that spans nearly 4 decades. Due to the fact that in the early days, no records were kept, we have a hard time knowing exactly how the Dolphins began.
